5 Things to do in London this Weekend (29th-31st July)

Stuck for something to do this weekend? Make the most of the beautiful weather and check out a local event - whether you’re looking for something active, something glamourous or even a free event there’s plenty going on over the next few days.

1) Prudential RideLondon

The 3-day cycling festival returns to the capital this weekend, celebrating the legacy of the 2012 Olympics held in Stratford and across London. Check out the events at Queen Elizabeth Park, or even take part in the FreeCycle - whilst taking in landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and Waterloo Bridge. Just register here to take part, or show up on the day with your bike!

2) London Film & Comic Comicon

Taking place all weekend at Olympia, Film & Comic Comicon brings you panels, discussions and autograph sessions with stars from film and TV - including Jeremy Renner (The Avengers) and plenty of the cast from Game of Thrones. Tickets can be purchased here. Expect to see lots of cosplay!

3) Camden Beach

Summer favourite Camden Beach returns to the Roundhouse for its fifth year this weekend, transforming the rooftop into a beach - complete with bar, BBQ and maybe even some sun? There are plenty of events taking place - with yoga in the day, and DJs at night. You can even book a private beach hut for you and your mates, complete with a fridge full of prosecco. What could be better? Entry is free, but some events are ticketed.

4) Summer Festival at Alexandra Palace

Enjoy free entry to this day-long festival at Alexandra Palace, as well as live music, a silent disco and a giant waterslide. Need we say more? Also expect a wide array of street food markets and craft beer pop ups. Kids welcome too!

5) Cocktails In The City

25 of the City’s best bars come together for two days, and just in time for Friday post-work drinks. The beautiful setting of Bedford Square Gardens pairs with cocktails from some of London’s trendiest drinks spots, all in the same place and at £7.50 a drink! You can get tickets from £15.00.
