Local information about Bevendean

Bevendean is a district in Brighton & Hove, within the county of East Sussex.

Bevendean is best known as home to the Bevendean Down Local Nature Reserve, a vast 64.6-hectare & species-rich area of grassland. The nature reserve is part of South Downs National Park, England's newest national park.

Due to its close proximity to green spaces, Bevendean is popular with families looking to move in and around Brighton. There are plenty of family homes in the Bevendean area, with streets of period terraced houses & 1930s semi-detached homes throughout the area.

Access in & out of the Bevendean area is made easy, thanks to its close proximity to Moulsecoomb railway station. The station is serviced by Southern, with 5 trains per hour running into Brighton. Regular trains also run from Moulsecoomb to Lewes, Seaford and Hastings.
