Local information about Westerham
Westerham is a town in Kent. Within the Sevenoaks district, the town shares the TN16 postcode with the nearby Biggin Hil & Tatsfield areas.
A historic town with heaps of history, Westerham is referenced in the Domesday book and is thought to have been home to settlers for thousands of years. The historic Church of St Mary the Virgin dates back almost 1000 years, to the 13th century, and still stands to this day.
There are plenty of attractive properties available in the area, including large mansion houses in the Farley Common area, as well as plenty of more modest family homes in and around the town centre. There are a few purpose-built & converted flats available in the area too.
Locals need to travel a few miles outside of Westerham for rail services, with Oxted railway station the nearest option. From Oxted, there are regular services to London Bridge, operated by Southern Rail, with a few peak-time Thameslink services available too.
