Bermondsey, in the London borough of Southwark, is one of South-East London’s most exciting areas. Bermondsey is well connected to Central London via Bermondsey Station and the Jubilee Line, or from the overground at South Bermondsey, making this a great place to visit or to call home.

A cultural hotspot, Bermondsey is home to a multitude of bars, cafes, coffee shops and other entertainment, much of which is centred around Bermondsey Street. For football fans Bermondsey is also significant, as it is home to the famous Millwall Football Club. In spite of recent popularity, Bermondsey still maintains a great community feel though, as epitomised by the Bermondsey Street Festival, ‘The Village Fete in the City’.

The SE1 postcode is now populated by a variety of housing options, partly down to extensive redevelopment after the area was damaged during the Second World War. Although some houses in the Victorian and Georgian styles remain, there are plenty of more recent post-war flats and houses, as well as new-build apartments closer to the river front.
