Frequently asked questions

Which tasks can I book an energy assessor for?

You can book an energy assessor to survey your domestic or commercial property and issue an Energy Performance Certificate, which is also known as an EPC. This is a certificate that confirms the the energy efficiency rating of a home.

For commercial properties, these are called Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC)

During the assessment, a qualified domestic energy assessor wil look at your heating system, insulation, lights, wall thickness and other areas that can impact energy efficiency. Then they'll calculate an EPC rating based on their findings, and issue a certificate.

You must have an EPC before you can sell or rent out your property. An EPC is valid for 10 years.

How are your energy assessors vetted?

All of our energy assessors are tried, trusted & qualified for the job, with plenty of experience. And we collect reviews and feedback from every booking to ensure 5* quality.

Do you have energy assessors available near me?

Booking a local energy assessor with Housekeep

Finding a good local energy assessor can be a challenge.

There’s a chance you’ll get lucky with a recommendation from friends or family - but for most of us, it means hours spent trawling the internet, looking through terrible websites, trying to find a reputable company. Some companies try to charge for a quote, costing you time & money, with no guarantee of a great service.

That's why we set up Housekeep - so you could book trusted, local professionals hassle-free.

Need an energy assessor? We’ll provide a fast, no-obligation quote for your job. Just fill out our online form and our dedicated trade team will send you a quote. All free-of-charge.

If you’d like to go ahead with the booking, we'll schedule the job for a time that suits you. Then we’ll send you an email to confirm the booking. No long back-and-forth, no costly quote and no stress.

But, what about the actual job? How can you be sure the work will go ahead smoothly?

Our energy assessors are vetted and have plenty of experience assessing homes and commercial properties. They'll complete an assessment and provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your domestic property, or a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC) if you have a commerical property. The certificate will assign an energy efficiency rating, ranked from A-G, and will also include recommendations on how to reduce energy usage in your home or commercial property.

We’ll provide a detailed quote before you commit to the assessment - including VAT, parking & travel. So you can trust the quote that you're given.

Need a hand with your booking? We’ve got a ridiculously responsive support team to guide you through the process - from quote to completion. You can reach us by phone, chat or email, 7 days a week.

Our energy assessor services are COVID-19 secure; we're going above and beyond government guidance, and have introduced enhanced hygiene processes for all bookings. We’re also taking all the steps we can to maintain social distancing and ensure trade jobs are delivered safely.
