We're encouraging customers and Housekeepers to maximise social distancing during cleans. Here are some practical tips on how you can do that:
1) Change to a more convenient time
If there’s a better time for your Housekeeper to visit, such as when less people are at home, you can change the time your Housekeeper arrives here.
2) Ask your Housekeeper to wear a mask
If social distancing is difficult in your home, or if you’re in a vulnerable group, you can ask your Housekeeper to wear a mask (many Housekeepers are choosing to do this anyway). Just add a note in your online account here.
3) Tell your Housekeeper which room to start in
To make social distancing easier, you can tell your Housekeeper which room to start in, and even what order to tackle your rooms in. Each room takes around 30 mins. Just add a note to your online account here.
4) Tell your Housekeeper to skip some rooms
If you’d rather your Housekeeper didn’t clean the room you’re in, just add a note in your online account here.
5) Tell your Housekeeper when to keep the noise down
If you have a meeting & you’d rather not hear the vacuum going in the background, you can let your Housekeeper know when to keep the noise down. You can make your instructions apply to one clean or all cleans in your online account here.
6) Stand to the side of your Housekeeper when talking
You should avoid sustained close contact with your Housekeeper (more than 15 minutes within 2 meters). If you need to talk to them, stand to their side instead of face-to-face.
7) Open your windows
We always recommend opening the windows at the start of a clean. As well as venting the fumes from cleaning products, a flow of fresh air can prevent viruses from spreading.
