The government has confirmed that home cleaners can work during the national lockdown that was announced on 4th January 2021.
"Where it is necessary for you to work in other people's homes - for example, for nannies, cleaners or tradespeople - you can do so" www.gov.uk
The government has previously confirmed that home workers including cleaners, tradespeople & nannies are excluded from gatherings limits and the 'rule of six', and are allowed to continue working in all 'COVID alert' levels.
We've introduced extra measures to ensure that cleaning work is carried out safely, including enhanced cleaning & hygiene procedures. You can read our full guidelines for customers & Housekeepers, here.
