Camden is part of inner London, just north west of the city centre. It has its own local authority, being Camden London Borough Council, and has two parliamentary seats, Hampstead & Kilburn and Holborn & St Pancras.

Camden covers an area incorporating Holborn and Bloomsbury in the south, to Hampstead in the north. It covers a number of central London postcodes, including N1, N19, N6, N7, NW1, NW2, NW3, NW5, NW6, NW8, EC1, WC1, WC2, W1 and W9.

The area has many popular tourist attractions including Camden Arts Centre, Dickens House, Gray’s Inn, Hatton Garden, Russell Square, Primrose Hill and London Zoo.
