Local information about Vauxhall

Vauxhall, in South West London, is a beautiful riverside area in the borough of Lambeth. The area is home to commerce as well as residential streets.

In recent years the riverside has seen plenty of luxury new-build apartments erected with stunning views of the Thames. Older flats, sometimes in the form of converted houses, as well as period terraces are spread throughout the area, with options on the market for almost any requirements.

Eagle-eyed film buffs will recognise the riverside Vauxhall Cross HQ of MI6 from the more recent iterations of the James Bond film franchise. Vauxhall is also home to a bustling night-time economy with multiple nightclubs and bars occupying the area. Interestingly, the area is also the original home of the Vauxhall motor company, hence the choice of name.

Vauxhall is well serviced by TfL, with underground service running through the tube station on the Victoria Line. National Rail services are also available via Vauxhall Rail Station, as well as extensive bus links in the area.
