The area of South East London now known as Canada Water takes its name from a lake and wildlife project. Since Canada Water underground station opened, the area has been of increasing residential interest and appeal. The area now has London Overground connection as well as Jubilee Line service, which has only furthered its appeal.

Located in Rotherhithe, in the borough of Southwark, the lake is now joined by an architecturally striking Library, built in 2011, and will be the subject of even further regeneration in the coming years.
