How it works

How does a regular clean work? If you want your home cleaned every 2 weeks, every week or more often.

    Set up your first & regular cleans. e.g. start time, access, key pick up & cleaning instructions.

    You've got full control of your cleaning schedule with your regular cleaner & you can send instructions to your cleaner's app.

We know every home is different so we do a short Welcome Call with all new regular customers to help you set your regular clean up. During the call, we’ll cover a few different things, like:

  • Setting up your regular day and time of visit
  • Taking down access instructions, for example, if you want your Housekeeper to hold spare keys we note down locking/unlocking instructions, or perhaps if your Housekeeper will be accessing via a concierge, we’ll note down how to find them
  • Taking down cleaning instructions, for example, we’ll take a note of where your Housekeeper can find your vacuum, mop and bin liners, plus anything specific to you, like only to hand wash the glasses.
  • The Welcome Call takes about 10 minutes and once we’re done all this information will be available to your Housekeeper in their phone app. You can then see and update any of this information via your members account.

It’s totally up to you. You can either be at home or you can organise for your Housekeeper to clean your home whilst you’re out. If you’re going to be out, you can give your Housekeeper spare keys, direct them to the concierge or send them to a key safe.

During the Welcome Call we take down all the access instructions for you and if anything changes, you can just log in to your members account to update the instructions . You can also organise for your Housekeeper to pick up your spare keys on a specific cleaning visit via your members account if you like.

If you'd like your Housekeeper to look after your spare keys, you can organise for them to pick up your spare keys during a cleaning visit. You can let us know during your Welcome Call or you can organise this yourself at any point in your members account. Our systems will then let your Housekeeper know to pick up the spare keys via their phone app. This service is only available for regular customers.

Once your Housekeeper picks up your keys, we send them a unique code to tag to your spare keys and ensure any other identification about you or your property is removed. We then keep track in our systems that your Housekeeper is holding your spare keys for you.

As well as a regular home cleaning service, your Housekeeper will also be able to provide the following services:

  • Ironing
  • Laundry
  • Oven Cleaning
  • Indoor Window Cleaning
  • Fridge Cleaning

You can either add these services on to all visits, for example you might want ironing every visit, or you can add them on as a one off to any individual visit, for example, you might just want an oven clean every now and then. These extra services can be added on to your clean at a cost of £12.50 per hour, or £6.25 per 30 mins.

Sure! After your initial clean, all you need to do is log in to your members account and select 'Book New Visits.' You can then see your recent Housekeeper(s) and their real-time availability live and book in at a date and time to suit you.

As our Housekeepers travel on foot or by public transport they are unable to provide any cleaning equipment. As such, we require all customers to provide a vacuum, mop & bucket.

If you would like your Housekeeper to provide their own cleaning products, cloths, sponges & sprays, we can arrange this for you at a small cost of £2.50 per visit.

If you would like to provide your own cleaning products, please ensure you have the following:

  • Lime scale remover
  • Kitchen cleaner
  • Bathroom cleaner
  • Floor cleaner
  • Glass cleaner
  • Rubber gloves
  • Clean sponges and cloths (washed in between visits)
  • Microfibre cloths (washed in between visits)

Unfortunately, not. Housekeepers usually travel by public transport, so they don't carry any heavy equipment (imagine carrying a vacuum during tube rush hour!). You can request standard cleaning cloths and sprays as part of your clean though.

Unfortunately, not (yet!). Housekeep offers standard home cleaning, but the Housekeepers available do not offer any deep cleaning or specialist cleaning. This means your Housekeeper won’t be able to help with: steam cleaning, carpet cleaning, mould removal or upholstery cleaning. We also do not offer any professional guaranteed end of tenancy cleans or any after build cleans.
