Tooting is an area of South London, about 5 miles from central London in the borough of Wandsworth. There is a residential population of just under 20,000, with it’s own Tooting parliamentary seat previously occupied by London mayor Sadiq Khan. The area is mostly within the SW17 postcode district.
Tooting is known for its green spaces, lively high street and plenty of new restaurant, bar and café openings. Whilst a bit quieter than nearby Clapham or Streatham, its become a popular location for young professionals and families, who want some of the urban London feel and some outdoor space, provided by the wide expanse at Tooting Common.
Tooting has good transport links via the London Underground Northern Line, with two local stations at Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway, plus a train line from Tooting railway station. There are also several local bus links which connect Tooting to the rest of south London.
Most of the local housing comprises terraces houses, with some cottages and more recently new-build apartments. There is a mix of buyers and renters in the area.
Housekeep cleaners became available in Tooting in 2015, taking the hassle out of finding trusted, local cleaners. Since then, Tooting has some of the top rated cleaners in London, with over 1,000 5 star ratings already.
