Location information about Coldean
Coldean is a green suburb on the northeastern edge of Brighton.
The suburb was built after the Second World War, in the valley that separates the parishes of Falmer and Stanmer.
The area is well-known as a leafy, quiet suburb that is predominantly made up of 1950s semi-detached houses, making it an attractive option for families. The area is also popular with students and is home to Valley Park Halls, the University of Brighton's largest halls of residence.
Regular buses down the Lewes Road make for easy transport into Brighton city centre, and the area is located roughly halfway between Moulsecoomb and Falmer railway stations.
