East London is also serviced by City Airport, which is less than 30 minutes form the City and alongside Stratford International Train Station, provides access to the rest of Europe.
East London was heavily damaged in the Second World War, so post properties in the area are spacious post-war dwellings, with lots of loft-style warehouses and new build apartments.
