Local information about Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge in SW1X, SW3 and SW7, started life as a hamlet between Kensington and Chelsea. Since then it has grown into one of the most exclusive areas of West London, and is home to London’s largest park: Hyde Park. The name Knightsbridge comes from the road that runs by the south of Hyde Park, west of Hyde Park corner. The road spans to the city of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington. Aside from the area south of Hyde Park, the district also encompasses East of Exhibition Road and West of Sloane Street. The London plan identifies Knightsbridge as one of two international retail centres in London. Knightsbridge is home to many cultural sites including the Victoria and Albert Museum.
