Avin Rabheru wins Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year

Last night the Housekeep team were celebrating as Avin Rabheru, CEO & Founder of Housekeep, was named as London's Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards!

Avin was facing some tough competition in the category, with founders of Atheneum, Echo Pharmacy and CENTURY tech vying for the same prize. In the end, the night went Housekeep's way, with judges praising Avin's "incredible entrepreneurial story" when awarding the prize.

Housekeep is now a household name in London, and the UK's market leader in home-cleaning services. This wasn't always the case though, and it was only 5 years ago that Avin was out-and-about cleaning houses with the very first cleaners on the platform. Avin formed Housekeep with just £5000, one cleaner and a handful of customers, and has overseen massive growth across London since starting the business. Back in the early days, though, Avin cleaned hundreds of homes himself, learning the ins-and-outs of the cleaning business, and paving the way for Housekeep to enter, improve and eventually lead the home-cleaning space.

To grow Housekeep to the scale it is today has been a massive undertaking and one that wouldn't have been possible without the support of our loyal customers and the fantastic work that Housekeepers on the platform. From the Housekeep team - thank you!

We are now in the peak of the annual awards season, so do keep your eyes peeled for more exciting announcements over the coming weeks and months!

Until then,

The Housekeep Team
