Location information about Queen's Park
Queen’s Park is an area just north west of central London, on the borders of the boroughs of Brent and Westminster. There are 15,000 local residents, based in the postcodes of W9 and NW6. The area is named after an open space built in the late 19th century to honour Queen Victoria.
Queen’s Park is a small district in the London borough of Brent. The are is split into two distinct areas; the northern part (a conservation area) consisting mainly of terraced houses around the park, some of which have been occupied by popular poets such as Tennyson. To the south of Queen’s Park properties tend to be multi-tenanted, with luxury flats. There is very little social housing in the area. Tube and train services are available from Queens Park station.
The main focus of the neighbourhood is Queen’s Park itself, a public space occupying an area of 30 acres. The football club, Queen Park Rangers, originally played here though they now play in nearby Shepherd’s Bush. Queen’s Park hosts two annual festivals, being Queens Park Day in September and Queen’s Park Book Festival in May. Salusbury Road is home to a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst Queen’s Park Farmers Market is open on Sunday mornings.
Queen’s Park’s central location and local community make it a popular home for young families, who are often searching for local cleaners to help out with their household chores. Housekeep has 100s of experienced, vetted cleaners available in the area for you to try!
