Why do I need to book a move out clean before I move out?

Most tenancy agreements require you to organise a move-out/end of tenancy clean prior to checking out of the property.

If you do not organise a clean, and the property fails to meet the landlord’s requirements for cleanliness, you may have a fee deducted from your security deposit to cover the cost of cleaning.

What’s the difference between regular cleaning and move out cleaning?

Move in/out cleaning is more thorough than a standard home clean, and takes longer to complete. It’s designed to thoroughly clean a property before new tenants move in.

Cleaning of kitchen appliances and white goods is included as standard in a move in/out clean. All cupboards will be cleaned - inside and out - as well as inside windows.

All tasks included in a standard home clean - including mopping, vacuuming and surface cleaning - are also completed during a move in/out clean.

What's the difference between move in/out cleaning and deep cleaning?

Our move in/move out cleaning service is the most thorough clean you can book. It's designed for homes that are completely empty, so the cleaning team can clean even more hard-to-reach areas - including the inside of cupboards & appliances.

Our deep cleaning service is more thorough than regular cleaning, but is designed for homes that are still being lived in.

Which items can be left in the property during a move in/out clean?

Ideally the property should be fully cleared. The only items that should be left in the property are those staying in the property after you move out. If you require the inside of cupboards to be cleaned, these will need to be emptied in advance of the clean.

How do I pay?

We take a card payment when you book. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express payment cards.

How can I arrange access if I’m not at home?

We can collect keys from a key safe, a neighbour or your estate agent (within a ten minute walk of the property). Just let us know where the keys will be in the ‘Any other details?’ section of the booking form.

How long does a move in/move out clean take?

It usually takes your cleaning team 3-5 hours to complete a move-in/move-out clean.

What equipment do cleaning teams bring?

The cleaning team will bring everything they need for your move in/move out clean, including all products and a vacuum cleaner.

Kingsley I and Ihaza did an amazing job. The bathroom and kitchen were shining after the clean, the limescale is all gone! It really is very impressive, I saw that they worked very hard. They were very thoughtful and helpful with the rubbish, helped me organise it so that it's easier to throw away. Ihaza also asked for my permission to access the bedroom before he cleaned it. Overall clean was excellent, although flat was already in good condition. They contacted me in the morning to confirm arrival time, all very straightforward. Oven and fridge freezer cleaned exceptionally well. Floors and carpets decent too. Appreciate the bathrooms were tougher - but Nick contacted me contemperaneously to let me know the toilet was proving a challenge due to caked on limescale, however he left bleach in to work for 24 hours which I then went and finished. Otherwise I thought the bathroom fittings were scrubbed well, with most of the limescale and mould gone, thanks!
