In the heart of the traditional East End, Bow is a culturally significant and historic part of London. Bow is home to the traditional Roman Road Market, which has stood for almost 200 years, as well as the beautiful Victoria Park, which has been voted Britain’s favourite open space.

Although Bow is largely residential, there are options for entertainment and the Roman Road is now home to many swanky places to eat and drink. For families, Victoria Park is hugely popular, with a large lake and Chinese Pagoda amongst the main attractions of the park.

The housing landscape in Bow is varied, with post-war flats and social housing adding to the large Georgian squares, set around attractive gardens. There are also plenty of Victorian terraces throughout the area. Nowadays, new-build apartments and gated communities also contribute greatly to the housing stock of Bow.
