Local information about Chislehurst

Chislehurst is a district in South East London. Formerly a town in Kent, Chislehurst is now part of the London Borough of Bromley. A suburban area, Chislehurst is a fantastic place for families and commuting professionals, with plenty of attractions and lovely scenery across the district, as well as great transport to central London.

Local attractions include Chislehurst Caves, a network of man-made tunnels that sprawl over 22 miles in total. Across the years, the Caves have also been used as a music venue, hosting huge Rock artists including the Who, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.

Chislehurst is also home to Scadbury Park, a 300-acre + nature reserve and Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation.

For those who may be looking at moving to Chislehurst, there are a wide range of housing options; tasteful new-build flats and apartments are under construction in the district, and there are lots of period terraced houses available too.

Located approximately 10 miles outside of Central London, Chislehurst is easily commutable via Chislehurst railway station. From here, Southeastern trains run frequently into London Charing Cross and London, as well as out to Sevenoaks, Kent.
