Carshalton is a historic village, located in the South London Borough of Sutton. Carshalton is just shy of 10 miles south of Central London, and was historically part of the county of Surrey. The Carshalton area is entirely contained within the SM5 postcode.
Carshalton Village is a particularly attractive part of the area with the central ponds, overlooked by the All Saints Church, lending the village centre a beauty which is not found in other London towns.
There's plenty of green space throughout the Carshalton area, with Carshalton Park, Grove Park and Oaks Park all within walking distance of the village.
The area is serviced by two train stations, Carshalton station and Carshalton Beeches station, with frequent Thameslink and Southern trains into Central London. The London Underground can also be caught from the nearby Morden station, which is just a short bus ride from Carshalton.
