Local information about Golders Green

Golders Green is a residential area in the North London borough of Barnet.

Local landmarks include the Golders Green Hippodrome, a former BBC radio centre-turned-concert hall, which has more recently been used as a faith centre by various religious groups. Due to the area’s large Jewish population, Golders Green is also renowned for its many kosher restaurants and delis. Golders Hill Park joins Golders Green with the vast Hampstead Heath and other nearby attractions include Kenwood House.

The Golders Green housing stock is varied, with plenty of larger family homes available on the market. Many of the houses in the area were built during the inter-war years, when communities began to settle in the area. This means that there are detached and semi-detached homes on offer, with new-build flats and apartments completing the housing landscape in recent years.

Golders Green tube station is on the Edgware branch of the Northern Line, so there is frequent service into the city centre, with the journey to Bank taking less than half an hour by tube. Many bus routes also run through the area, connecting Golders Green to the rest of North West London with ease.
