The Housekeep team were very proud to receive the Best Patient Capital Investment Award at the UK Angel Investment Awards 2018. The award was received by Freya Gibbs, one of our Senior Operations Executives, during the annual ceremony held at Liverpool Cathedral.

Housekeep were the first-time winners in a newly-formed ‘patient investment’ category, created to celebrate businesses that deliver long-term returns for investors. Housekeep has always placed great emphasis on solving tough problems with effective action, rather than looking for quick, short-term solutions to industry issues. When assembling a group of investors to launch Housekeep, this mentality was a key factor. As a result of this selection, Housekeep has always benefited from a team of investors who bring more than finance to the table, each adding their long-term, ambitious vision to the business.

Although we’ve been patient, we’ve already grown to market-leader and we’re unbelievably proud of the progress we’ve made in the last 4 years; cleaners on our platform have clocked up more than 1.5 million hours of home cleaning and we’ve received over 100,000 5-star consumer reviews. We’re not resting on our laurels, though, and the team here are dedicated to driving Housekeep forward; we can’t wait to see what comes next.
