Unless you've been living under a rock for the last year or two, you'll be aware that cleaning is now trendy. Instagram influencers such as the monumentally successful Mrs Hinch have made home cleaning a nationwide phenomenon.
Home interior specialists Hillarys have conducted some brand new research to quantify just how much these figures have actually influenced the public's behaviour. Being home cleaning specialists, we were particularly interested to get stuck into the data and offer our two cents on Hillarys' findings.
The headline figures from this survey make some great reading - 46% of people are now ensuring their appliances are more clean, with 36% also simplifying & decluttering their spaces.
Most importantly though, 32% of people admitted that they now feel more in control of their lives, with 19% also saying that they think their mental health has improved. Here at Housekeep we've been following these sorts of findings for some time and the evidence that cleanliness relates to happiness and health is growing all the time.
Tara Hall, spokesperson from www.Hillarys.co.uk, said:
“Social media is a great place to share ideas and form communities of like-minded people, and the astronomical success of Mrs Hinch is proof of how powerful it can be. It’s great to see that these accounts are genuinely helping people and encouraging people to take more care of their home.”
But what happens if you don't have the time to 'jump on the cleaning bandwagon'? There are plenty of options for reaping the rewards of a clean & healthy house without putting in the hard graft yourself. Housekeep offers customers the chance to book cleaners for the very next day, with competitive pricing and first-class cleaners.
