Central London comprises the City of London, plus parts of Westminster, Camden, Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea. It’s home to parliament, the royal palaces, the headquarters of government, many of the capital’s museums and galleries, plus it’s home to over 1.5m residents.
Central London incorporates the postcode areas E1, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, N1, NW1, SE1, SW1, W1, WC1 and WC2 and is serviced by all of London’s major tube and rail stations including King’s Cross, Euston, Charing Cross, Paddington, Victoria, Waterloo, London Bridge, Westminster, South Kensington, Marylebone, Camden Town and Angel.
Central London is known for its social housing as much as its commercial buildings. The housing stock also includes many high-rise luxury developments, as well as historical buildings.
