Kemptown is an area in the east of Brighton. The area’s home to a vibrant local community with plenty of bars, restaurants & music venues, as well as hosting the annual Kemptown carnival.
Grand, Regency style houses and Victorian homes make up the bulk of the residential property, with some of these now converted into flats to meet the housing needs of the area’s demographic.
Kemptown is just a short walk away from Brighton city centre, and there are plenty of bus routes running through the area. On the seafront, you can hop on Volk's Electric Railway - the oldest electric railway in the world still operating - although this is predominantly a tourist attraction.
