Edgware is a suburban area of North London’s borough of Barnet, on the fringes of Hertfordshire. A fairly self-contained part of outer-London, Edgware remains close enough to the city for commuters, whilst maintaining a more spacious, outer-city feel.

The Broadwalk Shopping Centre provides locals with all of their high street needs, while other entertainment is available in the town centre. For families able to travel a little furtherafield there are some great attractions nearby. The RAF Museum in Colindale is great for adults and children alike, while the Aldenham Country Park is only a few miles to the North, in Hertfordshire.

There are less period houses in Edgware than many inner-London boroughs, with lots on development happening throughout the twentieth-century. This means that there are many post-war semi-detached properties on the market, as well as houses in terraced styles. Due to the town-esque make-up of Edgware, the outskirts are home to some larger, detached houses, complete with driveways and gardens. Of course, for the younger residents, many flats are also available throughout the area.

Although Edgware sits on the periphery of Greater London, access to the city is still relatively hassle-free for commuters. The Northern Line terminates at Edgware, in Zone 5, and bus routes connect the surrounding area to the tube with ease.
