Lancing is a village in the Adur district of West Sussex. The village shares the BN15 postcode with the nearby Coombes and Sompting. According to the 2011 census, Lancing is the third-largest village in the UK by population, with over 18000 usual residents.

Significant post-war development in Lancing has led to large urbanisation of the area, effectively joining the village with the neighbouring Sompting. The housing options are varied, with detached houses, semi-detached homes, purpose-built flats and even modern new-build apartments, as well as some bungalows and fishermen's cottages, all available on the local property market.
