Discover the ‘joy in gardening’
This year’s theme is the ‘joy in gardening’. The week kicked off with the opening of four new RHS Community Gardens. According to the RHS, the gardens are ‘designed to be a space where groups, families, organisations and individuals can discover, share and grow their joy of gardening.’

Can’t make it out? Join in from your home or a local outdoor space
While it’s a great idea to get down to one of these gardens if you can, it’s not the only way to get involved with National Gardening Week. In fact, getting involved can be as simple as stepping out of your front door and into the garden. If you’re lucky enough to have your own garden, why not use this week to get mowing, sewing, pruning & plucking. So your garden looks its very best for the summer months.
You can show your support for the event & spread the word by sharing what you’re growing along with some gardening pics on social media. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #RHSGardenDay when you post.
