Walthamstow is one of London’s most up-and-coming towns, home to a population of 100,000, situated in the postcode district E17. It covers the wards of Chapel End, Higham Hill, High Street, Hoe Street, Markhouse, William Morris and Wood Street. It is also home to Walthamstow Market, the longest single market street in Europe.
Walthamstow is centred around Walthamstow Central, which includes Walthamstow High Street and Selbourne Road, plus the market and a local farmers market on Sundays.
