Wanstead is a North East London suburb in Redbridge. A spacious and green area, Wanstead is popular with those looking for a quiet neighbourhood within close proximity to the city.

There are plenty of ways to pass time in Wanstead. Wanstead Park - the former gardens of the now-demolished Wanstead House - is a large open space with a stunning pond. This is a popular picnicking spot with families, particularly in the summer months, and there are even fishing ponds too! Wanstead maintains a community feel, which is epitomised by the local Farmer’s Market that celebrates and supports local produce.

The houses in Wanstead vary, with some detached villas as well as terraced housing in period styles. Swanky duplex apartments and new-build developments now contribute to the housing stock, as is the case across much of London.

Wanstead, and the rest of the E11 postcode, is well serviced by the underground through Wanstead Underground Station with frequent Central Line trains. The area is not, however, serviced by the deceptively-named Wanstead Park railway station, which is actually located in Forest Gate.
