Frequently asked questions

You can book an energy assessor to survey your domestic or commercial property and issue an Energy Performance Certificate, which is also known as an EPC. This is a certificate that confirms the energy efficiency rating of a home.

For commercial properties, these are called Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC)

During the assessment, a qualified domestic energy assessor will look at your heating system, insulation, lights, wall thickness and other areas that can impact energy efficiency. Then they'll calculate an EPC rating based on their findings, and issue a certificate.

You must have an EPC before you can sell or rent out your property. An EPC is valid for 10 years.

Really pleased with this job. Plumber was professional, friendly and considerate. He turned up early and did his best to meet my pricing needs for the parts, and installed them very quickly. Problem was fixed and I'm overall really happy with the speed and efficiency of the service via housekeep and the quality of the job from the plumber.

How an EPC can help you save money on your energy bill

Last update on .

As well as confirming the current energy efficiency rating of a property, an EPC is a valuable tool for identifying low-cost ways to improve the energy efficiency of your home. So it’s a popular option for people looking to reduce their energy bills, even if they don’t immediately plan on selling or renting out their home.
