Many central London commuters and workers will be more than familiar with Chancery Lane and the surrounding area. This street has a long, historic connection to the legal world and is still home to many legal firms today. Just off Chancery Lane sits the impressive Lincoln’s Inn - and the attached Lincoln’s Inn Fields - much of which has stood since the 15th century.
The area is largely professional and there are not a huge number of domestic properties around. The housing landscape is largely based around converted flats. Around Lincoln’s Inn Fields there are some grand townhouses with one, Lindsey House, dating back to 1640. Many of these former-homes, however, now serve as office space. Newly-built luxury apartments are also now available in the area, although these demand high prices and have proved popular with investors due to their central location.
Chancery Lane underground station, slightly misleadingly located on nearby High Holborn, is located in Travelcard Zone 1, and is serviced by the Central Line. Holborn underground station, also on the Central Line, is only a short walk away.
The Housekeep platform hosts many cleaners who clean within the WC2 postcode. These Housekeepers have domestic cleaning experience and can be booked with ease through our online platform.
