The area of Earlsfield is within the Borough of Wandsworth in London, encompassing the postcode area of SW18. The area of Earlsfield is surrounded by more well-known areas such as Tooting, Clapham and Wimbledon. But now the area is flourishing as families move into the many Victorian terraced houses. It is also a popular area for commuters, with a train journey to Waterloo taking only 13 minutes. There are other good transport links via the tube from Southfields or Wimbledon Park, which is only a short walk away from Garret Lane. Earlsfield has also seen developments to the area, with Southside shopping Centre at the top of Garret Lane having an upgrade of shops, and for those more interested in the outdoors, St George’s Park offers 55 acres of green space, whilst there is also the possibility to fish at the lake near Wandsworth Common.
