Southgate is a suburb in the North London borough of Enfield, just south west of East Barnet.
Southgate is easily accessible and commutable due to great public transport infrastructure. The nearby North Circular (or A406, as it’s officially known) and the Charles Holden-designed Southgate tube station both offer those who live in the suburb easy access to the rest of London.
The Southgate housing market still boasts some large detached and semi-detached properties from a period of inter-war development. These complement older, period-style terraced homes and are joined by post-war flats and new-builds, too.
When it comes to green spaces and the outdoors, Southgate locals are spoilt for choice. The local Southgate Green is a lovely, open conservation area that’s been protected since the 1960s, and is home to plenty of wildlife. A short walk down the road is another, well-loved natural phenomenon, the Minchenden Oak, believed to be over 800 years old!
Within Southgate’s N14 postcode there are plenty of great Housekeepers with 5-star reviews and domestic cleaning experience. These housekeepers are all background-checked and interviewed in person, too, for complete peace of mind!
