Sydenham is a leafy and residential district in south east London. The district bridges three London boroughs: Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley.
Tree-lined streets of terraced houses can be found across the district; some of these are from a period of 19th-century development spurred on by the relocation of the Crystal Palace, while other streets are comprised entirely of post-war terraced houses and semi-detached properties. As is commonplace across London, new-build apartments and purpose-built flats complete the housing landscape.
The green space across Sydenham is fantastic, with the area home to two Green Flag parks: Mayow Park and Sydenham Wells Park. Mayow Park is one of London’s oldest open spaces, dating back to the Victorian times. As well as having great recreational space, there’s a great community in Sydenham too. The local community has a strong cultural identity, epitomised by events such as the Sydenham Arts Festival. The festival invites notable speakers from around the globe, as well as musicians and poets, on an annual basis.
In Sydenham you’re never far from the city, with London Overground service from Sydenham railway station. Other railway stations - Sydenham Hill, Penge East, and Lower Sydenham - provide options for Southeastern rail service to the city.
The SE26 postcode is well serviced by cleaners on the Housekeep platform. All Housekeepers who join the platform have great domestic cleaning experience and are background-checked as part of their in-person interview.
