Located 4 miles North of Charing Cross Dalston began as a hamlet within Hackney, encompassing Dalston Lake. The East London district now extends from Shoreditch in the south, to Kingsland Road in the West, Farleigh Road in the North and Lower Clapton on its eastern boundary.
