Local information about Romford
A former Essex town, now in the East London borough of Havering, Romford is a town renowned for its evening entertainment and historic market. Transport into central London is simple with frequent trains to Liverpool St. as well as Elizabeth Line service. The town’s market has existed since the 13th century, and was originally purposed for the trade of livestock. To this day, almost 300 stalls fit within the market, which can be visited on Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
With much of Central London unrealistic for many, Romford’s victorian terraced houses and interwar developments have never been more appealing. The options for housing in the area are varied, and some of the designs - such as the cottages found in the Gidea Park estate - are quirky and unusual, although these do fetch higher prices. New-build estates with family-sized homes, alongside smaller flats prove that development for all demographics is a constant in the area.
Housekeep cleaners do service RM postcodes, with availability for one-off, weekly or fortnightly cleans. All cleaners have prior domestic cleaning experience and are interviewed in person to ensure a professional, 5-star experience.
