During an NDEPC assessment, a qualified professional will thoroughly survey your commercial property, looking at your heating system, insulation, lights, wall thickness and other areas that can impact energy efficiency.
After an NDEPC assessment, your professional will calculate an efficiency rating from A-G, with A being the most energy efficient, and G being the least energy efficient. You'll then be presented with an NDEPC certificate which confirms the rating.
You must have a valid NDEPC before you can sell or rent out your commercial property. An NDEPC assessment must be carried out by a qualified professional, and the certificate is valid for 10 years.
