Booking an EICR inspection with Housekeep

Finding a good local electrician to complete an EICR inspection can be a challenge.

There’s a chance you’ll get lucky with a recommendation from friends or family - but for most of us, it means hours spent trawling the internet, looking through terrible websites, trying to find a reputable company. Some companies try to charge for a quote, costing you time & money, with no guarantee of a great service.

That's why we set up Housekeep - so you could book trusted, local professionals hassle-free.

Need an electrician? We’ll provide a fast, no-obligation quote for the job. Just fill out our online form and our dedicated trade team will send you a quote. All free-of-charge.

If you’d like to go ahead with the booking, we'll schedule the job for a time that suits you. Then we’ll send you an email to confirm the booking. No long back-and-forth, no costly quote and no stress.

But, what about the actual job? How can you be sure the work will be completed to a 5* standard?

It’s right to ask. Pick the wrong electrician and you could end up with a delayed schedule, endless hidden costs, and - if you’re really unlucky - half-finished work. You’re then left out of pocket with nowhere to turn.

Our electricians are vetted and have plenty of experience working with electrics throughout the home. As part of their EICR inspection, your electrician will complete a visual inspection of electrics, as well as completing dead testing, live testing and RCD testing. Then they'll issue a certificate letting you know whether the electrics are safe.

We’ll provide a detailed quote before you commit to the work - including VAT, parking & travel. You can also request that waste disposal gets included, if it's going to be required. In the event that further work is required, we’ll make sure you’re happy to proceed before you’re billed. So you’re in full control.

Need a hand with your booking? We’ve got a ridiculously responsive support team to guide you through the process - from quote to completion. You can reach us by phone, chat or email, 7 days a week.

Our electrical services are COVID-19 secure; we're going above and beyond government guidance, and have introduced enhanced hygiene processes for all bookings. We’re also taking all the steps we can to maintain social distancing and ensure trade jobs are delivered safely.
